About : Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease caused by a bacillus, Mycobacterium leprae. This was first launched by the Government of India in 1955. On this day people conduct some awareness events to cure this disease. Early treatment and precaution is the correct way to eliminate this disease. People will also try to help the leprosy-affected people to overcome their issues. Sparsh Leprosy Awareness Campaign’ will also be conducted as an annual activity.
